The Peristyle Dance Photo Op

  • The Peristyle City Park (map)

The Peristyle at City Park - June 22

There are some places that simply feel made for artists — and The Peristyle at City Park is one of them.

Originally built in 1907 as an open-air dance pavilion, The Peristyle has long been a space connected to movement, performance, elegance, and expression, making it the perfect setting for this year’s outdoor Dancer Photo-Op experience. With its iconic columns, timeless architecture, and dreamy New Orleans atmosphere, this location creates portraits that feel both powerful and beautifully nostalgic.

This session is all about celebrating your dancer’s passion and personality. Whether they want to wear their favorite costume from this past competition season, showcase a solo costume they’re proud of, or simply wear something they feel confident and beautiful dancing in, these portraits are designed to honor the hard work, artistry, and heart they pour into dance.

From graceful movement portraits beneath the columns to dramatic editorial-inspired images surrounded by the historic beauty of City Park, this experience creates keepsake portraits that feel elevated, emotional, and uniquely personal to your dancer.

Each session includes:

  • A 30-minute outdoor portrait session at The Peristyle

  • 5 professionally edited digital images

  • A private online gallery for viewing and downloading

  • The option to purchase professional heirloom prints and artwork separately

Perfect for recreational dancers, competitive dancers, soloists, and performers of all ages, this session creates more than portraits — it captures a season of dedication they’ll never quite live the same way again.

And honestly? There’s just something extra magical about dancers dancing in a place originally built for exactly that.
